Is this rug non-slip?

No non-slip backing is listed. On tile or vinyl it can shift, so pair it with a rug pad or grip tape if the floor gets wet.

How big is it, really?

It is 18 by 25 inches, a small accent size. Measure in front of your sink or tub before buying; it will not run the length of a double vanity.

Can I machine wash and dry it?

Yes, it is machine washable. Cotton rugs last longer line dried or tumble dried low, since high heat shrinks and roughens the pile.

Is it better than a memory-foam bath mat?

It is softer and more breathable than foam, but foam mats dry faster and grip the floor better. Choose cotton if you want a washable, natural-feel rug.

What colors does it come in?

Ivory and white. Both are light, so expect visible marks in a busy bathroom and wash more often.

When is the best time to buy it?

Hotel Collection bath goods are discounted most during department-store white sales in January and July and around major holiday events. Check the price history before buying at full price.

Our take on the Hotel Collection Cotton Reversible Bath Rug

This is a 100% cotton bath rug from Macy's Hotel Collection line, sized 18 by 25 inches and reversible so either side can face up. It comes in ivory and white and is machine washable, which matters for a rug that sits on a wet bathroom floor. The cotton is sourced under the Better Cotton program. It is a small accent rug, not a runner, so it suits a single spot in front of a sink, tub or shower.
