Our take on the Hotree 21V Cordless Drill Kit, 3/8 inch Keyless Chuck, Blue

The Hotree 21V Cordless Drill Kit is a budget cordless drill aimed at light household work, sold with a 37-piece accessory set. It has a 3/8-inch keyless chuck, two speed ranges, variable speed and a claimed 55 Nm of torque, powered by an included 21V battery. Its only recorded price is $26.99, so there is no price history to compare against yet. At that price it is one of the cheapest drill kits you can buy, and the specs should be read as light-duty.

Best forHomeowners who need a drill for occasional furniture and shelf assemblyFirst-time buyers who want a drill and bits in one cheap boxLight tasks: driving screws into wood, hanging pictures, tightening fittingsA spare or second drill for a garage or apartment
Pros
  • Low price for a drill plus 37-piece accessory kit
  • 3/8-inch keyless chuck takes common drill and screwdriver bits
  • Two speed ranges plus variable speed for better control
  • 55 Nm torque rating is high for this price class
  • Battery and charger included, so it works out of the box
Cons
  • 3/8-inch chuck limits it to smaller bits; no 1/2-inch shank tools
  • 21V and 55 Nm are seller claims; expect less real torque than a name-brand 18V drill
  • 2.0 Ah battery means short runtime on heavy drilling
  • Little track record: 14 ratings is a thin base for a 4.8 score
  • Spec sheet is inconsistent (AC motor type, 1 rpm speed), so treat figures with caution

Questions and answers

Is the Hotree 21V drill worth buying?
For light home jobs at $26.99, yes, as long as you expect a budget tool. It is not a substitute for a brand-name 18V drill on repeated heavy work.
Can it drill into concrete or metal?
It is rated for home use with a 3/8-inch chuck, so it suits wood, drywall and light metal with the right bits. Do not count on it for masonry or sustained metal drilling.
How long does the battery last?
The kit includes a 21V 2.0 Ah battery. Expect enough runtime for assembly and small repairs, not for hours of continuous drilling; a spare battery is worth having.
What comes in the box?
The kit is listed as 37 pieces: the drill, battery, charger and a set of bits and accessories. Check the piece list before buying if you need specific bit sizes.
Does it take standard bits?
Yes. The 3/8-inch keyless chuck accepts common round and hex-shank drill and screwdriver bits up to 3/8 inch.
When is it cheapest?
The only recorded price is $26.99, as of October 31, 2026. There is no lower price on record yet, so watch the price history before assuming a sale is coming.
Is the Hotree 21V Cordless Drill Kit, 3/8 inch Keyless Chuck, Blue at its lowest price?
