Our take on the HP 14" Touch Laptop Intel N150 128GB SSD with Microsoft 365

The HP 14" Touch Laptop is a budget Windows machine built around Intel's N150 quad-core processor, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS storage, with a 14-inch 1366 x 768 touchscreen. Its main draw is the included one-year Microsoft 365 subscription and a wireless mouse, which together offset much of the price. At $99 at BJ's Wholesale Club as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the bottom of its price range, and only one store currently lists it new. It is a light 3.2 lb machine rated for 11 hours of battery, but the low-resolution panel and 4 GB of memory keep it to basic tasks.

Questions and answers

Is the HP 14 touch laptop worth $99?
For basic browsing, email and Office documents, yes. The bundled Microsoft 365 subscription and mouse are worth much of the price on their own. Expect it to struggle with heavy multitasking or gaming.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
The 4 GB of DDR4 memory is soldered on most HP 14 configurations, so it cannot be upgraded. The 128 GB UFS storage is also not a standard replaceable SSD on this model.
How long does the battery last?
HP rates it at up to 11 hours. Real-world use with the touchscreen and Wi-Fi on will be shorter, typically a full workday of light tasks.
Does it come with Microsoft Office?
Yes. It includes a one-year Microsoft 365 subscription covering Word, Excel and PowerPoint, plus an HP wireless mouse in the box.
Is the screen good for watching video?
The 1366 x 768 anti-glare panel at 250 nits is fine for casual viewing indoors but not sharp or bright. Some owners report color accuracy issues.
When is it cheapest?
At $99 at BJ's Wholesale Club as of November 3, 2026, it is at the low end of its recent range. Holiday and back-to-school sales are the usual times for deeper discounts.
