Is the HP Ryzen 7 7730U laptop good for everyday use?

Yes. The 8-core Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM and SSD handle web browsing, Office documents, video calls and light photo editing without strain.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

RAM is capped at 16GB, which is the installed maximum. The 512GB SSD can be swapped for a larger drive, but that requires opening the laptop.

No. Despite some listings calling it a touchscreen model, the display is a standard non-touch 1920x1080 IPS panel.

HP rates it at about 8 hours. Expect less with heavy multitasking or high brightness, so a charger is wise for full days out.

It is the best new price among four stores as of November 7, 2026 and sits at the low end of its recent range, so it is a fair buy at that figure.
