Is the HP 17 touchscreen good for everyday use?

Yes. The 10-core Core 7 150U, 16 GB RAM and SSD handle browsing, Office, video calls and streaming comfortably. It is not built for gaming or heavy video editing.

Is the 17.3-inch screen sharp enough?

It is an HD panel, so text and images look softer than on Full HD or higher screens of the same size. It is fine for casual use but not ideal for detailed photo or spreadsheet work.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The 512 GB SSD can typically be swapped for a larger drive, and RAM slots vary by configuration. Check the exact model's service manual before buying if upgrades matter to you.

Is $849.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $849.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, so there is no lower new offer to compare. Comparable 17-inch touch laptops with 16 GB RAM often land in a similar range.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, its power adapter and paperwork. A mouse, sleeve or stylus is not included.

Does it have a backlit keyboard or fingerprint reader?

Features vary by configuration. Confirm the specific model listing for backlighting and a fingerprint reader before you buy.
