Is the screen really full HD?

No. The panel is HD+ at 1600 x 900, which is below 1080p. On a 17.3-inch screen that means visible pixels and less room for detail than a true FHD display.

Is 20 GB of RAM enough, and can I add more?

20 GB is plenty for office work, many tabs and light editing. It is also the stated maximum, so plan on keeping it rather than upgrading later.

Can it handle gaming?

Only lightly. The Radeon integrated graphics run older or low-setting titles, but there is no dedicated GPU for modern games.

Is it good for business use?

Yes for desk-based work: the large screen, 6-core CPU and 1 TB SSD fit spreadsheets, documents and video calls. It is heavy enough that daily commuting is a compromise.

What comes in the box?

The laptop with Windows 11 Home preinstalled. A charger is standard with HP laptops, but check the listing for exact accessories before ordering.

When is the best time to buy?

The only recorded price is $2,499.99 as of October 28, 2026, with no lower point yet. Watch for back-to-school and holiday sales, when HP laptops typically drop.

Our take on the HP 17.3" FHD laptops

This is HP's 17.3-inch desktop-replacement laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U, 20 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, running Windows 11 Home. The big screen, touch input and generous memory suit office work, spreadsheets and multitasking more than travel. Note the panel is HD+ (1600 x 900), not full 1080p, despite the FHD naming. Its only recorded price is $2,499.99 at the listed store as of October 28, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.
