Is the HP 17.3-inch FHD Laptop good for gaming?

Only for light or older games. It has no dedicated graphics card, so it relies on Intel integrated graphics, and the Core i3 is not built for demanding titles.

Is 32 GB of RAM overkill on this laptop?

For most buyers, yes. A Core i3 with 32 GB is unusual; 16 GB covers browsing, Office and streaming, and the extra memory mainly helps if you keep dozens of tabs and apps open.

How heavy is a 17.3-inch laptop like this?

HP's 17.3-inch models typically weigh around 4.5 to 5 pounds and need a large bag. It suits a desk more than daily commuting.

Does it come with Windows 11 installed?

Yes. It ships with Windows 11 Home in English, so it is ready to set up out of the box.

Is $899.79 a good price for this configuration?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it to. For a Core i3 laptop, that is on the high side; the money goes to the 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and large screen.

Can the RAM or storage be upgraded later?

The 1 TB SSD can usually be swapped for a larger drive. Memory upgrade options depend on whether the RAM is soldered, which HP's service manual for the exact model will confirm.

Our take on the HP 17.3-inch FHD Laptop

This is HP's big-screen budget laptop: a 17.3-inch 1080p panel, an Intel Core i3 processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, running Windows 11 Home in silver. The large screen and generous memory and storage are the draw; the Core i3 and integrated graphics keep it a general-purpose machine, not a gaming or creative one. At $899.79 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.
