Is this laptop good for gaming?

No. Intel UHD Graphics 620 is integrated graphics meant for office work and video playback, not modern games.

Can I upgrade the hard drive to an SSD?

On most HP 15.6-inch business models the 2.5-inch drive bay is accessible, so an SSD swap is usually possible. Check the specific model's service manual before buying.

Does it come with Windows?

No. It ships with Linux, so you would need to install Windows yourself if you need it.

Is the screen good enough for photo editing?

It is an IPS panel, which helps with viewing angles, but 1600x900 resolution and typical business-laptop color coverage limit serious photo work.

Why is it priced at $1,299.99?

That is the only new price listed, at Newegg as of November 7, 2026. With one seller there is no competing new price to compare it against.

What ports does it have?

HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet and a 1/8-inch headphone jack are listed. There is no optical drive.

Our take on the HP Business Laptop 17-inch

This is an HP business laptop with a 15.6-inch 1600x900 IPS screen, an Intel Core i5, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive, running Linux. It is built for office work rather than gaming or creative editing: the UHD Graphics 620 and a spinning HDD hold it back. The only new price listed is $1,299.99 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, with no other new sellers to compare against.
