Is the 1600x900 screen sharp enough for a 17.3-inch laptop?

It is usable, but text and icons look less crisp than on a 1080p or 1440p panel of the same size. If you work with spreadsheets or photos all day, a higher-resolution 17-inch model is worth comparing.

Can the RAM and SSD be upgraded later?

With 64 GB of DDR5 and a 4 TB SSD already fitted, there is little reason to open it up. Check HP's service manual for your exact model before buying if you plan to swap parts.

Is this good for gaming?

No. Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics handle video and light casual games, not modern titles at high settings. Look for a laptop with a dedicated GPU if gaming matters.

What comes in the box?

Expect the laptop, its power adapter and paperwork. A stylus, mouse and sleeve are not typically included with HP business laptops, so budget for them separately.

Why does it cost over $2,000?

The price reflects the 64 GB of RAM, 4 TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro license more than the screen or graphics. Comparable 17-inch laptops with 16 GB and 1 TB often cost far less.

Only one store lists it new at $2,029.00 as of November 7, 2026, so there is no track record to time a purchase. Watch for HP business promotions and back-to-school sales.

Our take on the HP 17.3 HD+ Touch Business Laptop

This is a 17.3-inch HP business laptop with a 1600x900 touchscreen, an Intel Core Ultra 7 255U, 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 4 TB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro. The memory and storage are far above what most 17-inch laptops ship with, and the HD+ panel is the weak spot: 1600x900 on a 17-inch screen looks coarse next to 1080p or 1440p rivals. The only new price found is $2,029.00 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, with a single store listing it new, so there is no recent range to judge it against.
