Our take on the HP EliteDesk 805 G8 Mini Business Desktop AMD Ryzen 5 5650G 32GB RAM

The HP EliteDesk 805 G8 is a compact business desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 5 5650G six-core processor, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB solid-state drive. That combination is generous for office work, multitasking and light creative tasks, and the small chassis fits under a monitor or on a desk shelf. Questions and answers

Is the HP EliteDesk 805 G8 good for everyday office work?

Yes. The six-core Ryzen 5 5650G and 32GB of RAM handle spreadsheets, browsers, video calls and multitasking comfortably. The 1TB SSD keeps startup and file access fast.

Can this mini desktop run games?

Only lightly. It uses integrated AMD graphics, so esports and older titles run at modest settings, but modern 3D games will struggle. A dedicated-GPU desktop suits gaming better.

Is 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD enough?

For most business and home users, yes. 32GB covers heavy multitasking, and 1TB holds a large document, photo and app library. Power users editing large video files may want more storage.

Can I upgrade the HP EliteDesk 805 G8 later?

Some upgrades are possible, such as RAM and storage, but the mini chassis and integrated graphics limit bigger changes. There is no room for a full-size graphics card.

Is $689 a good price for this configuration?

At $689 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, you get 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, which is strong for the money. Only one store lists it new, so compare carefully before buying.

What comes in the box?

The desktop, a power adapter and Windows preinstalled are standard. A keyboard and mouse are not guaranteed with every listing, so confirm before ordering.
