Questions and answers

Is the HP OmniBook 7 Touch worth $1,199?
For a 16-inch touchscreen laptop with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, $1,199 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026 is a fair price. Comparable 16-inch machines with less memory often cost similar or more.
Is 32GB of RAM overkill?
Not for heavy multitasking, large spreadsheets or many browser tabs. If you only browse and write documents, 16GB would be enough and you could save money on a lower configuration.
Can it run games?
Only light ones. The Intel integrated graphics handle older and casual titles at reduced settings, but the 240Hz screen is beyond what the GPU can drive in modern games.
How does it compare with the previous OmniBook generation?
The Core Ultra 5 brings better efficiency and a stronger integrated GPU than older Intel chips, and this model adds a 240Hz panel. The trade-off is that it is a 16-inch machine, so it is heavier than smaller OmniBooks.
Does the touchscreen work with a stylus?
It supports capacitive touch, so any compatible active or passive stylus works for basic input. It is not a pen-first convertible, so don't expect pressure-sensitive drawing.
When is it cheapest?
Laptop prices drop most around Black Friday, back-to-school and end-of-quarter sales. Track the price history here and buy when it falls below the current $1,199 at Walmart.
Where is the HP OmniBook 7 Touch Laptop with Core Ultra 5, 16GB RAM cheapest?
