Is the HP OmniBook good for gaming?

Only for light or older games. It uses integrated Intel graphics, not a dedicated GPU, so modern titles will run at low settings. The Core Ultra 7 and 64GB of memory suit work, not gaming.

Is 64GB of memory overkill?

For web browsing and office work, yes. It pays off if you keep dozens of browser tabs, virtual machines or large editing projects open at once. Memory is soldered on many thin laptops, so buying it up front avoids a later limit.

Is the 17.3-inch 1080p screen sharp enough?

It is usable but not sharp. At 1920x1080 across 17.3 inches, pixel density is around 127 ppi, so text looks softer than on a 14-inch 1080p laptop. A 1440p or 4K panel would be sharper.

What ports does it have?

One HDMI 2.1 port and a headphone/microphone combo jack are listed, plus wireless via Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. There is no card reader and no optical drive.

When is the best time to buy it?

The only new price listed is $2,427.99 at Newegg.com as of November 8, 2026. Watch for holiday sales and back-to-school promotions, when HP laptops typically drop.
