Our take on the Huluwat 62cc 20 in. Gas Chainsaw 2-Stroke

The Huluwat is a 62cc two-stroke gas chainsaw with a 20-inch bar, aimed at felling, bucking and sawmill work rather than light trimming. Its selling points are an anti-vibration handle system, an anti-slip grip and a safety-valve throttle switch. No current store price was provided, so check the live comparison before buying. A 62cc saw in this class typically sits in the mid-range of gas chainsaw pricing, well below pro-brand equivalents.

Pros
  • 62cc engine gives enough torque for a 20-inch bar in hardwood
  • Anti-vibration handle reduces fatigue during long cutting sessions
  • Anti-slip grip helps control in wet or cold conditions
  • Safety-valve throttle switch adds a kill/throttle safety layer
  • Wear-resistant guide plate holds up to regular use
Cons
  • Two-stroke gas means mixing fuel and oil, plus exhaust fumes
  • No listed chain brake or kickback safety detail beyond the throttle switch
  • ABS plastic body panels are less durable than magnesium or metal
  • Likely heavy and loud compared with smaller 40–50cc saws
  • Parts and service network for an off-brand saw can be thin

Questions and answers

Is a 62cc saw too much for occasional yard work?
For light pruning and small limbs, yes. A 62cc, 20-inch saw is sized for felling and bucking; a 40–50cc saw is lighter and easier to start for occasional use.
What fuel mix does it need?
Two-stroke engines of this size normally run a 50:1 gasoline-to-two-stroke-oil mix. Confirm the ratio in the manual before the first tank.
Does it have a chain brake?
The listing highlights a safety-valve throttle switch but does not name a chain brake. Ask the seller to confirm before buying, since a chain brake is standard on most modern saws.
How does it compare with a name-brand 60cc saw?
It costs less but lacks the dealer service, parts availability and proven durability of brands like Stihl or Husqvarna. Buy it if price matters more than long-term support.
What comes in the box?
Typically the powerhead, 20-inch bar and chain, and a tool kit. Confirm whether bar oil and a mixing bottle are included.
When is the price lowest?
Gas chainsaws tend to discount in fall and around spring landscaping sales. Check the price history chart for this listing's low point.
