Questions and answers

Is the Hyper 36V e-bike worth it?
At $489.99 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it is one of the cheapest ways to get pedal assist. It makes sense for short flat commutes; if you face hills or need more than about 15 miles per charge, spend more.
How fast does it go and how far on a charge?
Assist tops out at 20 mph, and the claimed range is about 20 miles. Expect less in cold weather, with heavy riders or with lots of stop-and-go.
Does it have a throttle or is it pedal-assist only?
It is pedal-assist only, with no throttle listed. You pedal and the rear hub motor adds power.
Are the tires 26-inch or 700c?
The name says 700c but the listed tire diameter is 26 in. Confirm the wheel size with the seller before ordering tubes or tires.
Can I ride it on hills?
The 250 W motor and six gears handle gentle slopes, but steep climbs will be hard work. There is no suspension, so stick to paved city streets.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price seen is $489.99 at eBay as of November 3, 2026. Budget e-bikes often drop around Black Friday and spring clearance, so compare the three stores before buying.
