Questions and answers

Is this rug worth it?
It is a reasonable pick if you want a hand-woven wool flatweave look and will use a rug pad. Skip it if you need a washable rug or have heavy pet traffic on the ivory ground.
How does it compare with a machine-made wool rug?
Hand-woven construction gives it a flatter, more textured face than tufted machine-made rugs. Machine-made options are usually cheaper and more consistent in size, but this one has the handmade look buyers rate highly.
Does it need a rug pad?
Yes. It has no non-slip backing, so a pad keeps it from sliding on wood or tile and helps the edges lie flat.
What sizes and colors does it come in?
It is sold in multiple rug sizes and colorways beyond the 6 by 9 foot ivory and blue shown here. Check the size list before ordering for a runner or a larger living room size.
How do you clean it?
Dry clean or professional cleaning is recommended. Vacuum without a beater bar and blot spills quickly, since the ivory wool ground stains easily.
When is it cheapest?
Area rugs typically drop during seasonal home sales and holiday weekends. No current price was provided, so compare the listed price against its recent range before buying.
