Our take on the illy X1 Manual Espresso Machine

The illy X1 is a manual single-cup espresso machine built around illy's proprietary iperEspresso capsule system, with a 1200 W heating system, a built-in steam wand for milk frothing, and a small display. It is a compact stainless steel unit aimed at people who want capsule convenience with a real steam wand rather than a fully automatic machine. Its best new price is $794.31 at Tiny Lux as of November 8, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful price competition to compare against.
