Our take on the Image 12 Pcs LED Taper Candles Light Set 5.2 Inch

The Image 12-Piece LED Taper Candle Set is a pack of twelve 5.2-inch flameless taper candles in red, each with a 3D flame that flickers like a real wick. They run on batteries, so there is no wax, smoke or open flame to manage. At $26.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, the set works out to about $2.25 per candle, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is no lower price to compare against.

Pros
  • Twelve candles in one set, enough for several centerpieces
  • 3D flame gives a more realistic look than a flat bulb
  • No wax drips, soot or fire hazard
  • Red color suits holiday and winter decor
  • Slim 5.2-inch taper fits standard candle holders
Cons
  • Battery life is short on flickering LED tapers, so stock up on cells
  • Red only; no ivory or white option in this set
  • Flameless light looks dimmer than real candlelight up close
  • No remote or timer mentioned, so each candle is switched by hand

Questions and answers

Is $26.99 a good price for this set?
It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Best Buy, and it comes to about $2.25 per candle. Similar 12-packs of flameless tapers often sell for $20 to $35, so it sits in the normal range.
What batteries do these candles take?
Most LED tapers of this size use button-cell or AAA batteries, but the listing does not specify. Check the product page or box before buying so you have the right cells on hand.
Are these safe around children and pets?
Yes. There is no open flame, no hot wax and no smoke, so they can sit on a low table or mantel without the usual fire risk.
Do they fit standard candle holders?
They are 5.2 inches tall with a taper shape, so they should fit most standard taper holders. Measure your holder's opening if it is unusually narrow.
Can I use them outdoors?
They can go on a covered porch or in a window, but they are not weatherproof. Keep them out of direct rain and snow.
Is there a timer or remote?
The listing does not mention a timer or remote, so expect to switch each candle on and off by hand.
Where is the Image 12 Pcs LED Taper Candles Light Set 5.2 Inch cheapest?
At Best Buy, for $26.99, as of our latest check.
