Is the 215G worth it over a 1/2-inch impact wrench?

If most of your work is 3/8-inch fasteners in tight spots, yes. For lug nuts and heavy suspension bolts, a 1/2-inch gun with more torque is the better tool.

How much air does it need?

It is a pneumatic tool, so it needs a compressor and hose with enough flow to hold pressure under load. A small pancake compressor will struggle on sustained use.

What is the real torque: 125 or 160 ft-lbs?

Ingersoll Rand rates fastening torque at 20-125 ft-lbs and lists up to 160 ft-lbs of driving power. Treat 125 ft-lbs as the working fastening figure.

What comes in the box?

The listing includes the 215G air impact wrench. Sockets, air fittings and a hose are not included.

The best new price seen is $98.95 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Air tools often drop during holiday and tool-event sales.

Our take on the Ingersoll Rand Edge Series Impactool 215G

The Ingersoll Rand 215G is a 3/8-inch pneumatic impact wrench in the Edge Series, rated at 20-125 ft-lbs of fastening torque with a claimed 160 ft-lbs of driving power. It runs a 6-vane air motor at up to 11,300 rpm with 1,500 impacts per minute and five variable power settings on a pistol grip. At 3 lbs and under 6 inches long, it is built for engine bay and assembly work where a 1/2-inch gun is too big. The best new price is $98.95 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with two stores listing it new.
