Is the Duo Plus worth it over the Duo?

The Duo Plus adds sous vide, cake, a whisper-quiet steam release, remote lid release and an anti-spin pot over the base Duo. If you want those extras and guided presets, it is worth the step up; otherwise the Duo covers the core pressure and slow cooking.

How many people does it serve?

Instant Pot rates it for up to 6 servings at 5.7 liters. It suits couples and small families; larger households or batch cooking will want a 7.5- or 8-quart model.

Can I use the inner pot on the stove?

Yes. The stainless-steel inner pot works on electric and ceramic cooktops and is oven safe to 500°F. Do not use it on induction or gas.

What comes in the box?

The cooker, two sealing rings, a stainless-steel steam rack and a recipe booklet. The extra sealing ring lets you keep one for savory and one for sweet dishes.

No. The Duo Plus has nine functions but no air fry or broil. For air frying, look at Instant Pot Duo Crisp or Pro Crisp models.
