Is the iulock smart door knob worth $39.99?

At $39.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to add keypad entry to a door without changing the deadbolt. Expect basic code entry, not app control or remote access.

Does it work with a phone app?

No app or wireless connection is listed. Entry is by keypad code, physical key, or turning the knob, so there is no remote unlock or code management from a phone.

It is a knob-style lock, so it replaces a standard knob rather than a deadbolt. Check your door's bore hole and backset match a standard knob before buying.

Can I use it outdoors?

It carries a waterproof rating, which covers rain on a covered porch. Prolonged direct exposure and standing water are still a risk for any keypad lock.

The knob, screws, and a key are included. You need only a screwdriver to install it.

The current $39.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range. Watch for holiday sales, when keypad locks typically dip.
