Is the Explorer 2000 Plus worth it over a gas generator?

For quiet indoor-safe backup and solar recharge, yes. A gas generator costs less per watt but needs fuel, maintenance and outdoor placement.

How long will it run a refrigerator?

A typical 150 W fridge draws roughly 1–1.5 kWh per day, so expect about a day to a day and a half per charge. Add battery packs for longer outages.

Can it run a microwave or space heater?

Yes. The 3,000 W inverter handles most microwaves and 1,500 W heaters, though runtime at that draw is short, around 40 minutes for a heater.

What comes in the box?

The power station, an AC charging cable, a car charging cable and a user guide. Solar panels and expansion batteries are sold separately.

How does it compare to the Explorer 2000 Pro?

The Plus uses LiFePO4 cells with longer cycle life and supports expansion batteries; the Pro is lighter but not expandable.
