Is the Jakks Pacific Pac-Man Plug and Play TV Game worth it?

For nostalgia or a cheap retro gift, yes. At $38.26 at Fishpond.com as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than a modern Pac-Man compilation, so buy it for the mini arcade form factor, not value.

What do I need to play it?

Just a TV with component RCA inputs and batteries for the joystick. There is no console, disc or download.

How many games are included?

One: Pac-Man. The unit has no cartridge slot use beyond what is built in and no expandable storage.

Does it work on modern TVs?

Only if your TV still has component RCA inputs. On an HDMI-only set you will need an RCA-to-HDMI adapter, and the picture will look soft.

Is it good for two players?

Yes, it is built for competitive multiplayer, with players taking turns on the same joystick. It is not a simultaneous two-controller setup.

Prices for new units are driven by scarcity, not seasons. Watch listings for used or open-box units, which typically sell well below the $38.26 new price at Fishpond.com as of November 4, 2026.

Our take on the Jakks Pacific Pac-Man Plug and Play TV Game

A plug-and-play TV game from 2003 shaped like a mini arcade stick, with Pac-Man built in and no console or disc needed. It connects to a TV through component RCA cables and runs on the joystick's own on/off and menu controls. At $38.26 at Fishpond.com as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent range for a new unit, so this is a collector's price rather than a bargain.
