Our take on the JanSport Cross Town Plus Backpack

The JanSport Cross Town Plus is a 26-liter polyester school backpack with a padded laptop sleeve, an interior organizer and a padded bottom boot. It weighs 13.4 oz, so it carries books and a laptop without adding much weight itself. At $22.50 at Office Depot as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, well under the $40 to $50 it often sells for. It is not water resistant, so it suits dry commutes and campus days rather than wet weather.
