Is the Pasadena sofa worth it?

At $1,375.99 it is priced in line with other performance-velvet sofas of this size. You are paying for the farmhouse styling and removable covers more than for generous seating space.

How does it compare with a full-size three-seat sofa?

At 75.5 inches wide it is about a foot narrower than a standard 88-inch sofa. It suits two adults plus a child better than three full-size adults.

Can I wash the cushion covers?

The back, arm and bench seat covers are removable. Check the care label before machine washing; performance velvet usually does best on a cold, gentle cycle and air drying.

How firm is the seat?

The sinuous spring suspension with foam gives a medium-firm seat that softens with use. Shoppers who want a deep, sink-in couch should look elsewhere.

What are the dimensions and weight capacity?

It measures 75.5 inches wide, 34 inches deep and 35 inches high, with a 19.5-inch seat height and 20-inch seat depth. The rated weight capacity is 600 lbs.

When is the best time to buy?

The price has moved only about $14 in the recent range, so waiting rarely saves much. Watch for store-wide furniture sales rather than product-specific drops.
