Our take on the Jennifer Taylor Home Williams Swivel Counter Height Bar Stool

The Williams is a counter-height swivel bar stool from Jennifer Taylor Home with a square seat, a 15-inch high back and plush foam padding under faux leather or linen upholstery. It sits on a solid oak base rated for 300 lbs and swivels a full turn, so people can get in and out without moving the stool. The fixed 46-inch height suits standard 34- to 36-inch counters, not bars. At $336.99 at Jennifer Taylor Home as of November 3, 2026, it is the best new price among the three stores that carry it.

Pros
  • Full swivel makes getting in and out easy
  • 15-inch high back with plush foam gives real back support
  • Solid oak base is sturdier than common metal or MDF frames
  • 300 lb weight capacity covers most adults
  • CARB-certified materials and a choice of faux leather or linen
Cons
  • Fixed height: not adjustable, so it only fits counter-height surfaces
  • At 31 lbs and 23 inches deep, it is heavy to move and takes floor space
  • Only three stores carry it, which limits price competition
  • Faux leather and linen need spot cleaning; spills can stain linen

Questions and answers

Is the Williams stool worth $336.99?
It is a fair price for a solid oak, upholstered swivel stool with a 300 lb rating. Cheaper swivel stools usually use metal or engineered wood frames. If you need an adjustable height, spend elsewhere.
Will it fit my kitchen counter?
It is counter height at 46 inches overall, which pairs with counters about 34 to 36 inches high. It does not adjust, so measure your counter before buying. For a standard 42-inch bar top, look for a bar-height version.
How does it compare with metal swivel stools?
The oak frame and padded high back make it heavier and more furniture-like than typical metal stools. Metal stools cost less and wipe clean more easily, but usually offer less back support.
What is the weight limit?
300 lbs per stool. The frame is solid oak and the seat is foam-filled, so the limit covers the base as well as the cushion.
Faux leather or linen: which should I pick?
Faux leather wipes clean and suits kitchens with kids or pets. Linen looks softer and breathes better but stains more easily and needs spot cleaning.
When is it cheapest?
Only three stores list it, so watch those listings rather than waiting for broad sales. The $336.99 at Jennifer Taylor Home as of November 3, 2026 is the current best new price.
