Our take on the Joie Baby Mint Latch with Base AR Infant Car Seat

The Joie Baby Mint Latch is an infant car seat that comes with the Base AR, an anti-rebound base that installs with LATCH or a seat belt and has a level indicator. It meets FMVSS 213a side impact standards and includes a 5-point harness, removable infant inserts, a UPF 50+ canopy and an adjustable handle. At $379.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price we track, so there is no recent range to compare it against. That puts it in premium infant-seat territory, where the bundled anti-rebound base is the main reason to pay more.

Questions and answers

Is the Joie Mint Latch worth $379.99?
The price buys the seat and the Base AR together, and the anti-rebound base is the feature that justifies the premium. If you only need a seat for occasional rides in different cars, a cheaper seat without a base may serve you better.
Does it work without the base?
The seat is sold as a system with the Base AR, and the base is what provides the anti-rebound protection and level installation. Check the manual for any baseless belt-routing option before relying on it in a taxi or a second car.
How long can a baby use it?
It is an infant seat, so it is sized for newborns through roughly the first year or until your child reaches the seat's height and weight limits. The removable inserts are there to tighten the fit for small newborns and come out as the baby grows.
What is in the box?
You get the Mint Latch infant car seat and the Base AR. The infant inserts, chest clip and canopy are part of the seat; a stroller is not included.
When is it cheapest?
We only track one new price, $379.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, so there is no discount history to point to. Car seat prices usually dip during baby-gear sales events and registry promotions.
Where is the Joie Baby Mint Latch with Base AR Infant Car Seat cheapest?
At Target, for $379.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Joie Baby Mint Latch with Base AR Infant Car Seat?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Target, Strolleria.
