Is the Hughes Apartment Sofa worth it?

It is a strong pick if you need a stylish two-seater under 70 inches wide and want velvet. Compare the sale price with similar Joybird models, since full price is high for the size.

How does it compare to the Joybird Hughes Sofa?

This is the apartment version at 66 inches wide; the standard Hughes sofa is longer and seats three. Choose this one for tight rooms and the larger one for family living rooms.

How many people does it seat?

Two adults comfortably. The seat is 52 inches wide, so a third person would be cramped.

Is the velvet hard to clean?

Velvet needs vacuuming and spot cleaning with a soft cloth; avoid harsh solvents. Joybird offers free swatches so you can test the felt gray fabric's feel first.

What are the dimensions?

66 inches wide, 35 inches deep and 34 inches high, with a 19-inch seat height and 6-inch legs. Measure doorways and hallways before ordering.

Joybird runs frequent sitewide sales, often around holidays. Waiting for a percentage-off event usually beats buying at list price.
