Questions and answers

Is this a good bass for a beginner?
It covers the basics: full size, four strings, 21 frets and a standard right-handed layout. At $140.99 it is a low-risk way to start, but expect to have the setup checked.
What comes in the kit?
Karl Home sells this as a full standard kit, so it is meant to include the bass plus starter accessories. Confirm the exact contents with the store before buying.
Is it better than a Squier or Yamaha starter bass?
Those brands cost more but have stronger track records for build and setup. Choose this one if budget is the priority; choose a name brand if you want fewer setup surprises.
Is it full size?
Yes. It is a full-size, right-handed solid-body bass with 21 frets, not a short-scale model.
When is the best time to buy it?
It is listed at $140.99 at Target as of November 4, 2026, with only one store pricing it new. Watch for holiday sales, when starter instruments usually see their deepest discounts.
Where is the Karl Home 4 String Electric Bass Guitar Full Size Standard Kit, Orange cheapest?
At Target, for $140.99, as of our latest check.
