Is this the right tank for my bike?

It fits 1998–2002 Ninja ZX-6R and 2005–2008 ZZR600. Check your model year and the radiator diagram before ordering, since other years use different tanks.

Is it worth paying for OEM instead of an aftermarket tank?

OEM gives correct mounting tabs and hose fit, which matters on a part that sees heat cycles. Aftermarket tanks are cheaper but fit and plastic quality vary.

Does it come with the cap or hoses?

The listing is for one radiator reservoir only. Reuse your existing cap and hoses, and replace any hose that is hard or cracked.

Why does my bike need this tank?

It catches coolant that expands out of the radiator and returns it as the engine cools. A leaking tank lets coolant escape and can lead to overheating.

When is the best time to buy it?

OEM body and cooling parts rarely go on deep discount. Buy when you need it, but compare prices across Kawasaki parts dealers first.

Our take on the Kawasaki OEM Ninja ZX-6R ZZR600 Radiator Reservoir 43078-1162

This is the genuine Kawasaki coolant overflow tank, part number 43078-1162, that mounts on 1998–2002 Ninja ZX-6R and 2005–2008 ZZR600 models. It holds coolant pushed out of the radiator as the system heats and returns it as it cools, so a cracked or leaking tank means coolant loss and possible overheating. It is a factory part, not an aftermarket copy, so fit and hose routing match the original. No current store price was supplied, so check the price against other OEM listings before buying.
