Our take on the Kenneth Cole Reaction Out Of Bounds 3-Piece Lightweight Hardside 4-Wheel Spinner Luggage Set

A three-piece hardside spinner set from Kenneth Cole Reaction: a carry-on, a medium check bag and a large check bag in charcoal. The shells are molded ABS with four dual spinner wheels and telescoping handles, so each bag rolls upright and nests inside the next for storage. At $239.99 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026, the set works out to about $80 a bag, which is low for a branded hardside set. It is a budget set, so expect basic interiors and no frills.

Best forFamilies buying luggage for several travelers at onceFirst-time hardside buyers on a budgetTravelers who want matching carry-on and checked bagsPeople who pack light and roll rather than carry

Questions and answers

Is the Kenneth Cole Reaction Out Of Bounds set worth it?
At $239.99 at Kohl's as of November 6, 2026, it is about $80 per bag, which is cheap for a branded hardside spinner set. It suits light-to-moderate travel; heavy frequent flyers should expect more wear.
What sizes are in the three-piece set?
The set pairs a 20-inch carry-on with 24-inch and 28-inch check bags, all four-wheel spinners. The smaller bags nest inside the large one for storage.
Does it have a TSA lock?
No. The set has no built-in TSA lock, so add a TSA-approved cable lock if you check bags.
Is the shell hard or soft?
It is hardside, molded from ABS plastic. That resists light rain and scuffs but flexes and can crack under rough handling.
How does it compare with Samsonite hardside sets?
Samsonite sets typically cost more and use polycarbonate or polypropylene shells that hold up better. This set is lighter on the wallet but less durable.
When is the best time to buy it?
Luggage discounts cluster around Black Friday, back-to-school and spring travel sales. Track the price history and buy when it dips below the usual $239.99.
