Our take on the Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XP184C 2-Way Speakers (2-Pairs, 4-Total) Bundle

The Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XP184C is a 6-1/2-inch two-way component speaker set with 1-inch silk dome tweeters and polypropylene woofers. This bundle packs two pairs, so four woofers and four tweeters, enough for front and rear doors. Each side handles 80W RMS and 280W peak at 4 ohms, with 86.3 dB sensitivity. The best new price is $179.00 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, the only new listing found.

Best forUpgrading front and rear speakers in one purchaseDrivers who want silk tweeters that stay smooth at high volumeOwners running an amp or a strong head unitBuyers who want a full component set without paying premium-brand prices
Pros
  • Two full pairs in one bundle, so front and rear match
  • Silk dome tweeters tend to sound softer than metal ones
  • Polypropylene woofers with butyl rubber surrounds hold up to moisture and heat
  • 80W RMS per side is plenty for most amplified systems
  • Shallow 2-7/16-inch top-mount depth fits many doors
Cons
  • No grilles included, so you need factory grilles or custom ones
  • Not a shallow-mount design despite the modest depth
  • 86.3 dB sensitivity means they want real power to get loud
  • No crossover details given, so tuning depends on the included network
  • Only one new listing, so price competition is thin

Questions and answers

Is this bundle worth it over buying one pair?
If you plan to replace both front and rear speakers, two pairs at $179.00 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026 works out cheaper per pair than most single-pair component sets. Buy one pair only if you are upgrading the fronts alone.
Do these need an amplifier?
They will run off a head unit, but at 86.3 dB sensitivity and 80W RMS handling they sound best with an amp rated around 50 to 80W per channel. A stock radio will leave headroom unused.
Will they fit my car's doors?
They need a 6-inch cutout and 2-7/16 inches of top-mount depth. Measure your door before buying, since they are not a shallow-mount design.
What is in the box?
Four 6-1/2-inch woofers, four 1-inch silk dome tweeters, and the component hardware for two full sets. Grilles are not included.
Are the tweeters too bright?
Silk dome tweeters are usually smoother than metal domes. Aim them toward the listener and use the crossover as intended to keep the top end balanced.
When is the price lowest?
Car audio tends to dip during holiday and back-to-school sales. With only one new listing at $179.00 as of November 4, 2026, watch for a second seller to appear before expecting a cut.
What do buyers say about the Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XP184C 2-Way Speakers (2-Pairs, 4-Total) Bundle?
