Our take on the Kestrel 3000 Pocket Weather Meter

The Kestrel 3000 is a handheld weather meter that measures wind speed, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and wind direction. It is built for field use: it floats if dropped in water, is drop-tested to MIL-STD-810G, and runs on a single CR2032 coin cell. It has no Bluetooth and no data logging, so readings are read off the backlit LCD and held with the data hold button. The best new price is $150.00 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, with 4 stores listing it new.
