Our take on the Kidzone Smart Bumper Car 12V with Remote Control

The Kidzone Smart Bumper Car is a 12V ride-on bumper car for one child up to 66 lbs, with two motors, multiple speeds and a parent remote. It tops out at about 1.3 mph and runs roughly 40 minutes per charge, which takes 8 to 12 hours. Its slow-start safety feature and 18 lb frame suit indoor floors, sidewalks and short grass. It is a toy-grade ride-on, so expect amusement-park styling rather than real bumper-car collisions.

Questions and answers

Is the Kidzone bumper car worth it?
It suits young first-time riders who need a slow, remote-supervised car. Older kids will find 1.3 mph and a 66 lb limit restrictive.
Can parents control it?
Yes. The included remote lets a parent steer and set speed, and the slow-start feature softens acceleration.
How long does the battery last?
About 40 minutes per charge. A full charge takes 8 to 12 hours, so plan overnight charging.
What surfaces can it drive on?
Sidewalks, low-pile carpet, short grass and other flat surfaces. It is not built for rough ground or hills.
What is in the box?
The car, a rechargeable 12V battery, charger and remote control. Check the listing for the current bundle.
When is it cheapest?
Ride-on toys usually drop around Black Friday and pre-summer sales. Check the price history before buying.
