Do I need a box spring with this bed?

No. The 12 wooden slats form a platform that holds a king mattress directly. A box spring would add height you likely don't need given the 50.78-inch headboard.

Will a king mattress fit the frame?

Yes. The frame is built for a king mattress and measures 83.07 by 74.8 inches, which leaves a small margin around a standard king.

How much weight can it hold?

The listed capacity is 1,000 lbs, which covers two adults plus bedding with room to spare.

Is $319.99 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it to. Upholstered king platform beds with a tall headboard commonly sell in the $300 to $500 range.

How tall is the headboard?

The headboard is 50.78 inches tall, high enough to lean against while sitting up in bed.

Does it come with a mattress?

No. The listing is for the bed frame only; the king mattress is sold separately.

Where is the King Size Upholstered Platform Bed Frame cheapest?
