- Is the KitchenAid 1.7 L kettle worth $179.95?
- If you want a metal kettle with keep-warm and a limescale filter and will use it daily, the price is easier to justify. For occasional boiling, a basic kettle does the same job for far less.
- How much water does it hold?
- 57.5 fl oz, or about 1.7 liters, which fills roughly seven 8 oz cups.
- Does it shut off by itself?
- Yes. It has automatic shut-off, so it stops heating when the water boils or the kettle is lifted from its base.
- What is the keep-warm function for?
- It holds water at temperature after boiling, so you can pour another cup without reheating.
- Does it filter hard water?
- It has a removable anti-limescale filter at the spout that catches scale, and it should be rinsed or descaled regularly.
- What colors does it come in?
- Green and gray.
