Our take on the Kobalt 24V Brushless 4-Tool Power Tool Combo Kit with Battery Charger and Storage Case

This is a four-piece cordless kit built around Kobalt's 24V battery platform: a brushless drill/driver, impact driver, and two other 24V tools, plus one battery, a charger and a hard storage case. Brushless motors give longer runtime and life than brushed versions, and the shared 24V battery works across Kobalt's full 24V line. It suits a homeowner or DIYer who wants one battery system for drilling, driving and light yard or shop work rather than a pro who needs daily-duty tools.

Best forHomeowners starting a first cordless tool set
DIYers who want one battery across several tools
Light remodeling, furniture assembly and deck work
Buyers who value a hard case for storage and transport
Pros
  • Brushless motors on the tools for better runtime and durability
  • One 24V battery shared across Kobalt's 24V lineup
  • Four tools cover drilling, driving and general fastening
  • Hard storage case keeps the kit together
  • Often priced well below comparable multi-tool kits from major brands
Cons
  • Only one battery in the box, so long jobs may need a second
  • Kobalt 24V batteries and bare tools are sold mainly at Lowe's
  • Not built for daily professional or heavy jobsite use
  • Kit tool selection varies, so check which four tools are included

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it for a homeowner?
Yes, if you need several cordless tools and want one battery system. Four brushless tools plus a case for well under what premium brands charge is good value for home and DIY work.
What tools are in the box?
The kit includes four 24V brushless tools, one 24V battery, a charger and a hard storage case. Check the listing for the exact tool list, since Kobalt has sold more than one four-tool mix.
Does the battery fit other Kobalt tools?
Yes. The 24V battery works with Kobalt's other 24V tools, including bare tools sold separately. That makes it easy to add tools later without buying new batteries.
Is one battery enough?
For most home jobs, yes. For all-day work or heavy use of the saw or impact driver, plan on a second battery so one can charge while the other runs.
How does it compare with a DeWalt or Milwaukee kit?
It costs less and covers the same basic jobs, but pro brands offer more tool options, tougher build and wider battery availability. Choose Kobalt for value and home use, pro brands for daily jobsite duty.
When is the best time to buy?
Kobalt kits usually drop during Lowe's holiday and spring tool sales. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.
