Our take on the KOTO Dark Knight Black 80% Steel Tip Darts

The KOTO Dark Knight is an 80% tungsten steel tip dart weighing 23g, aimed at players who want a durable, centre-weighted barrel without paying premium prices. The ringed grip runs the length of the barrel, and the round nose suits a standard finger-on-barrel throw. It is a bristle-board-only dart, so soft-tip electronic boards are out. At 4.6 out of 5 from 15 ratings, feedback is limited but positive.

Best forSteel tip players on bristle boardsThrowers who prefer a centre-weighted barrelPlayers stepping up from brass or low-tungsten dartsBuyers wanting 80% tungsten at a modest price
Pros
  • 80% tungsten gives a slimmer barrel than brass for the same 23g weight
  • Ringed grip offers consistent finger placement
  • Centre weighting suits a straight, controlled throw
  • Round nose is forgiving on close grouping
  • Steel tip works on any standard bristle board
Cons
  • 23g only — no weight options in this listing
  • Ringed grip can feel slippery for players who want aggressive knurling
  • Round nose can deflect more than a tapered point on tight groups
  • Steel tips are not compatible with soft-tip electronic boards
  • Only 15 ratings, so the 4.6 score is a small sample

Questions and answers

Are these darts worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if you play on a bristle board. 80% tungsten at 23g is a sensible step up from brass darts, and the centre weighting is easy to control.
Will these work on a soft-tip electronic dartboard?
No. These are steel tip darts and only fit bristle boards. Using them on an electronic board will damage it.
What weight are the KOTO Dark Knight darts?
They are 23g. This listing does not offer other weights, so check the KOTO range if you need 21g or 25g.
What is in the box?
The listing covers the darts themselves. Flights and shafts are not specified here, so confirm with the store before ordering if you need a full setup.
How does 80% tungsten compare to 90%?
At the same 23g, a 90% tungsten barrel is slightly slimmer. 80% is a little thicker but typically cheaper and still far denser than brass.
What do buyers say about the KOTO Dark Knight Black 80% Steel Tip Darts?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 15 ratings.
