Our take on the KOTO Imperial Black Silver 80% Darts

The KOTO Imperial is an 80% tungsten steel-tip dart in a black and silver finish, built with a tapered nose and a razor-and-ringed grip. The center-weighted balance suits players who want a neutral, controlled throw rather than a front-loaded feel. It is a bristle-board dart, so it is not meant for soft-tip electronic boards. Shoppers rate it 4.9 out of 5 from 31 ratings, which is strong for a mid-priced tungsten dart.

Questions and answers

Is the KOTO Imperial worth it?
At 4.9 out of 5 from 31 ratings, it is a well-liked 80% tungsten dart. It suits players who want a grippy, center-weighted steel-tip barrel without paying premium-player prices.
Is 80% tungsten good for darts?
Yes. 80% tungsten is denser than brass or nickel, so the barrel stays slim for its weight and groups tighter. It is a common spec for club-level darts; 90% and above is slimmer still but costs more.
Can I use these on a soft-tip electronic board?
No. The Imperial is a steel-tip dart and is listed as compatible with bristle boards only. Using steel tips on a soft-tip board will damage it.
What grip does the KOTO Imperial have?
It uses a razor and ringed grip on a tapered barrel. The razor sections bite into the fingers for a firm hold, while the rings give reference points for a repeatable placement.
Is it center weighted or front weighted?
It is center weighted, so the balance sits near the middle of the barrel. That gives a neutral feel on release, unlike front-weighted darts that pull the nose down.
When is the price lowest?
Darts pricing tends to dip during major tournament seasons and holiday sales. Check the price history on this page to see where the current price sits against its recent range.
What do buyers say about the KOTO Imperial Black Silver 80% Darts?
Rated 4.9 out of 5 from 31 ratings.
