Our take on the Ktaxon Twin Size Upholstered Daybed

The Ktaxon Twin Size Upholstered Daybed is a chenille-upholstered frame that works as a sofa by day and a twin bed at night, with built-in storage underneath. It holds up to 330 lb and measures about 80.7 by 43.7 by 32.7 inches, so it needs real floor space along a wall. Assembly is required, and the boxed unit weighs roughly 66 lb. No current price was provided, so check the latest best price against its recent range before buying.

Pros
  • Doubles as seating and a twin sleeping surface
  • Under-bed storage holds bedding or bins
  • Chenille upholstery looks softer than plain fabric frames
  • 330 lb max load suits most adults
  • No trundle means a simpler, lower-cost frame
Cons
  • No trundle, so it sleeps one, not two
  • Assembly required and the box is about 66 lb
  • At 80.7 inches long it needs a wide wall
  • Chenille needs spot cleaning and shows stains
  • Storage access depends on clearance under the frame

Questions and answers

Is this daybed worth it over a plain twin bed?
If you need seating and a bed in one room, yes. If you only need a bed, a standard twin frame costs less and takes less assembly.
Does it come with a mattress?
No. It is a frame only, so budget for a twin mattress, which is the size it takes.
How much room does it need?
About 80.7 by 43.7 inches of floor, plus clearance to open the storage. Measure the wall before ordering.
Can two people sleep on it?
No. It is a single twin with no trundle, so it sleeps one.
How hard is assembly?
Expect a couple of hours and a second person for the 66 lb box. Have a screwdriver and the included hardware ready.
When is it cheapest?
Watch the price history for dips around major sales events. Compare across stores, since this frame is sold by several retailers.
