Is the La Crosse 308-66677-INT worth it?

At $28.60 at The Home Depot as of November 7, 2026, it is a cheap way to get a color display with indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. Skip it if you want pressure trends, forecasts, wind or rain.

Does it need batteries, or can it run on USB?

It runs on USB power or on six AAA batteries. Batteries let you place it away from an outlet, but you will replace them periodically.

How far can the outdoor sensor be from the display?

The wireless range is rated up to 197 ft, which covers most yards and across-wall placements. Walls and metal reduce that range in practice.

Does it show a weather forecast or barometric pressure?

No. It measures temperature and humidity only, plus clock, date and alarm functions. There is no pressure sensor or forecast icon.

What comes in the box?

You get the display unit and one wireless outdoor sensor. Batteries and the USB cable are not guaranteed in the box, so check before buying.

Its best new price is $28.60 at The Home Depot as of November 7, 2026, near the bottom of its recent range. Weather stations like this often dip around fall and holiday sales.
