Our take on the LACOO 65 in. Convertible Folding Futon Sofa Bed

The LACOO 65-inch convertible futon is a faux-leather sofa that folds flat into a full-size sleeper, with a reclining backrest and a fold-down center armrest that doubles as a cup holder tray. It seats two to three people and holds up to 600 lb on a metal and engineered-wood frame with chrome legs. At 65 inches wide and 32 inches deep, it fits small living rooms, dorms and guest rooms. Its 2.8 out of 5 rating from 18 buyers is low, so expect a budget build rather than a long-term couch.

Questions and answers

Is the LACOO futon good for sleeping every night?
No. The foam and elastic sponge padding is thin, and owners call it firm. It suits occasional guests, not nightly sleeping.
How big is it when folded flat?
It becomes a full-size sleeper. The sofa itself is 65 in wide, 32 in deep and 28 in tall, so check floor space before buying.
Does it hold two adults?
Yes. The 600 lb capacity covers two average adults, and the 65-inch seat fits two to three people sitting.
What is the fold-down center armrest for?
It drops down between the seats to form a tray with cup holders, and it folds back up to make a flat seat or bed.
Is the faux leather easy to clean?
Yes. Wipe spills with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, which can speed up cracking and peeling.
When is the best time to buy it?
Futons like this usually drop during Black Friday, back-to-school and end-of-season furniture sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
What do buyers say about the LACOO 65 in. Convertible Folding Futon Sofa Bed?
Rated 2.8 out of 5 from 18 ratings.
