Is the Aranea daybed worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want a sofa-looking bed with storage and a 600 lb rating. Skip it if you need a wide sleeping surface for two adults.

Does it need a box spring or mattress?

No box spring is needed because slats are included. You still need a mattress; a twin-size mattress is the usual fit for a daybed this size.

How big is it and will it fit my room?

It measures 78'' wide, 40'' deep and 36'' tall. Leave clearance in front for the single arm and for getting into the storage.

How hard is assembly?

Assembly is required and owners report it takes time, so plan for two people. The slats and frame come together with the included hardware.

Is velvet a good choice for a daybed?

Velvet looks rich and feels soft, but it shows lint, crumbs and hand marks. Vacuum it with a soft brush and blot spills right away.

When is the best time to buy it?

Watch the price history around major sales events and compare across stores. The best price is usually below the middle of its recent range.
