Is the Lasko Ceramic Tower Heater worth it at $71.99?

Yes, if you need to warm one room. At $71.99 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, it is near the bottom of its usual $65 to $90 range and includes a remote and thermostat that budget heaters often lack.

How much does it cost to run?

At 1,500 watts it uses about 1.5 kWh per hour on high. At a typical US rate of about 17 cents per kWh, that is roughly 25 cents an hour; the thermostat and low setting cut that.

Does it have a tip-over switch?

No. It has overheat protection and a cool-touch housing, but no tip-over shutoff, so keep it on a stable surface away from pets and children.

Can it heat a whole room?

It is sized for a bedroom, office or den, roughly 150 to 300 square feet in a well-insulated space. It will not carry an open-plan living area.

The heater and a remote control. Batteries for the remote are usually included; check the listing if that matters to you.

Space heaters drop in price in late winter and early spring and rise in the first cold snap of fall. Watch for it under $70 outside heating season.
