Our take on the Lasko Fan & Space Heater Tower

The Lasko Fan & Space Heater Tower is a 41.9-inch tower that runs as both a fan and a 900–1500 W forced-air heater, with a thermostat, timer, remote and four fan speeds. It adds overheat protection, a tip-over switch and a cool-touch housing, so it can run unattended in a bedroom or living room. The best new price is $141.99 at Wayfair as of November 8, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

Best forYear-round use in a bedroom or living roomShoppers who want one tower for heat and coolingSmall rooms and apartments with limited floor spacePeople who want a remote and timer for overnight use
Pros
  • Heats and cools, so it earns its floor space year-round
  • Thermostat, timer and remote let you set it and forget it
  • Four fan speeds including a very low setting for quiet nights
  • Overheat protection, tip-over switch and cool-touch housing
  • Tall tower design fits in a corner and aims air across a room
Cons
  • Plastic housing and 11.5 lb weight feel less sturdy than metal heaters
  • 1500 W draws up to 12.5 A, so it can trip a shared circuit
  • Forced air is audible on high and dries the air in a closed room
  • Fan-only airflow is modest for a tower this tall

Questions and answers

Is $141.99 a good price for the Lasko Fan & Space Heater Tower?
It is the best new price among the two stores listing it as of November 8, 2026. Tower fan-heater combos from Lasko often sell in the $100–$160 range, so this sits near the top of that band.
Does it really work as a fan in summer?
Yes. It runs fan-only with four speeds, including a very low setting. Airflow is modest for a 42-inch tower, so treat it as a gentle room circulator rather than a strong cooling fan.
Will it trip a breaker?
At 1500 W it draws up to 12.5 A, close to the limit of a standard 15 A circuit. Avoid sharing that circuit with a microwave, kettle or another heater.
How much space does it heat?
Lasko rates it for a whole room, but forced-air output from a tower this size suits a bedroom or small living room better than a large open floor plan.
What safety features does it have?
It has overheat protection, a tip-over switch and a cool-touch housing, plus automatic shut-off. That makes it reasonable for bedrooms and rooms with pets.
Does it come with a remote?
Yes, a remote is included, along with a thermostat and timer. Batteries for the remote are not confirmed in the listing.
