Questions and answers

Is this topper worth it compared with a new mattress?
If your mattress is structurally sound but too firm or slightly sagging, a 3-inch latex topper is far cheaper than a new bed. If the mattress has deep body impressions, a topper will not fix it.
Should I choose Soft, Medium or Firm?
Side sleepers under about 150 pounds usually do well with Soft or Medium. Back and stomach sleepers and heavier sleepers generally want Medium to Extra-Firm. If you are unsure, Medium is the safest starting point.
How does Dunlop latex compare with Talalay?
Dunlop is denser and firmer at the base, so it feels more supportive. Talalay is more uniform and bouncier. For a topper meant to add support, Dunlop is the more common pick.
Will it make my mattress too tall for my sheets?
Three inches is enough to tighten standard fitted sheets. Deep-pocket sheets or a slightly larger sheet size usually solve this.
Does it have a cover or straps to keep it in place?
Check the specific listing for whether a cover is included. Latex toppers are heavy enough that they usually stay put, but a cover helps protect the latex.
When is the best time to buy?
Latex toppers see discounts around major sales events and holiday weekends. Track the price history and buy when it drops below its recent range.
