Does this bed need a box spring?

No. It ships with slats, so a queen mattress sits directly on the platform. A box spring would only raise the mattress height.

Is $1,070 a good price for it?

It is the only new price listed, $1,070 at Wayfair as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing store to beat it. Watch for Wayfair sitewide sales, when upholstered beds often drop.

What mattress size fits?

A standard queen mattress, 60 by 80 inches. The platform and slats are built for that size.

What is the headboard made of?

It is an upholstered headboard in gray chenille over the frame, with the same fabric as the rest of the bed.

How hard is assembly?

Expect to attach the headboard, side rails and slats. Two people help, since the upholstered frame is bulky.

How should I clean the chenille?

Vacuum it with a soft brush and blot spills right away with a damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing, which can crush the pile.

Our take on the Latitude Run Gray Chenille Platform Bed with Curved Headboard

This is a queen upholstered platform bed from Latitude Run, wrapped in gray chenille with a curved headboard and a slatted base that supports a mattress without a box spring. The soft fabric and rounded headboard suit a calm, modern bedroom, and the platform height keeps the look low. It is a single-store item: $1,070 at Wayfair as of November 7, 2026, with no other new-price sellers to compare against.

Best forShoppers who want a soft, upholstered platform bedBedrooms with a modern or transitional lookSleepers who prefer no box springBuyers wanting a curved headboard as a focal point

Pros

Chenille upholstery gives a soft, textured feel
Curved headboard adds a softer silhouette than a straight panel
Slats included, so no box spring is needed
Queen size fits standard mattresses
Gray chenille hides light wear better than pale linen

Cons

Only one new-price seller, so there is no price competition
Chenille can show crushing and marks in high-traffic spots
Upholstered beds are harder to clean than wood or metal
Curved headboard limits how close the bed sits to a wall
Assembly and a heavy frame are typical for this type
