Our take on the Latitude Run Mielke Cloud-Inspired 176" 4 Piece Oversized Deep Lounge Slipcovered Modular Sofa

The Latitude Run Mielke is a 176-inch-wide, four-piece modular sofa with 44-inch-deep seats and down-filled cushions, styled after the cloud sofas popularized by Restoration Hardware. It is slipcovered in a water-resistant, stain-proof nylon-polyester blend that the maker says is washable. Its price sits near the low end of its recent range, so the current listing is a reasonable time to buy if the size fits your room.

Questions and answers

Is the Mielke sofa worth it?
If you have a large room and want a deep, soft modular seat with washable covers, it is a strong value at its current price. If space is tight or you dislike fluffing cushions, a firmer, shallower sofa will suit you better.
How does it compare to a Restoration Hardware Cloud sofa?
It copies the look at a fraction of the price, with a nylon-polyester slipcover instead of the RH's linen and feather blend. Expect similar softness but less premium fabric and a shorter expected lifespan.
How big a room does it need?
At 176 inches wide and 44 inches deep, it needs a wall at least 15 feet long plus walking room in front. It suits open-plan living rooms better than apartments.
Are the covers really washable?
The maker describes the fabric as washable, water-resistant and stain-proof. Wash on a cold, gentle cycle and air-dry to avoid shrinkage and seam stress.
What is in the box?
Four modular pieces with their slipcovers and back and seat cushions. Assembly is mostly placing the modules and putting on the covers; no tools are usually needed.
When is it cheapest?
Modular sofas like this tend to drop during major holiday sales and clearance events. Its current price is already near the low end of its recent range, so waiting may not save much.
