Our take on the Lectric eBikes XP4 Step-Thru eBike

The Lectric XP4 Step-Thru is a folding electric bike with an aluminum frame, 3-inch fat tires, an 8-speed drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes. The step-through frame and folding hinge make it easy to mount and to store in a car trunk or closet. The best new price is $999 at Electric Sports Company as of November 8, 2026, which is the low end of what the four stores listing it new charge.

  • Folds for storage in a trunk, closet or small apartment

  • Hydraulic disc brakes give strong, low-effort stopping
  • 8-speed gearing covers hills better than single-speed folders

  • Folding hinge adds a maintenance point over a rigid frame
  • Fat tires are slower and noisier on smooth pavement

Questions and answers

Is the Lectric XP4 Step-Thru good for beginners?
Yes. The step-through frame is easy to mount, the 8-speed gearing is simple to use and the hydraulic brakes need little hand effort. New riders should practice throttle and pedal-assist levels in an open area first.
How does the XP4 Step-Thru differ from a standard XP4?
The Step-Thru uses a lower, curved frame so riders can mount without swinging a leg over the rear wheel. The motor, battery, tires and brakes are otherwise the same platform.
Can it fit in a car trunk?
It folds at the frame and stem, which shrinks it enough for many trunks and SUV cargo areas. Because of its weight, plan on two people or a lift assist for loading.
What tire size does it use?
It runs 3-inch-wide fat tires, which add grip and cushioning on gravel and rough pavement. They roll slower and louder than narrower tires on smooth roads.
Is $999 a good price?
At $999 at Electric Sports Company as of November 8, 2026, it sits at the low end of the four stores listing it new. That is a fair price for a folding fat-tire e-bike with hydraulic brakes.
Does it come with fenders and a rack?
Check the listing for the exact configuration, since accessory bundles vary by store. Confirm fenders, rack and lights before ordering if you need them for commuting.
Where is the Lectric eBikes XP4 Step-Thru eBike cheapest?
At Electric Sports Company, for $999.00, 23% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Lectric eBikes XP4 Step-Thru eBike?
Rated 4.9 out of 5 from 2,000 ratings.
