Do the candles come with batteries?

Usually not. Most sets of this type need AA or AAA batteries, so check the listing and budget for them.

How does the timer work?

The remote typically sets a repeating cycle, such as 6 hours on and 18 off, so the candles light at the same time each evening.

Are they safe to leave unattended?

Yes. There is no flame or wax, so they are a common choice for shelves, dorms and homes with pets.

Can I use them outdoors?

Only in sheltered spots. The plastic body and electronics are not weatherproof, so rain and direct sun will shorten their life.

Is $13.18 a good price?

It is a low price for a remote-controlled flameless pillar set, and only one store listed a new price as of November 7, 2026, so there is little to compare against.

Our take on the LED Flameless Pillar Candles with Moving Flame Wick and Remote

These are ivory plastic pillar candles with an LED flame that flickers and sways to mimic a real wick, sold with a remote. At $13.18 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, they sit at the low end of what flameless pillar sets cost, so there is little price risk in trying them.
