Is the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05 good for schoolwork?

Yes for essays, web research and video calls. The dual-core i3 and 8 GB of RAM struggle with heavy multitasking or demanding software.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?

RAM can go up to 12 GB, so you can add a 4 GB DDR4 stick to the installed 8 GB. The 256 GB SSD can be swapped for a larger drive.

Does it have a touchscreen?

Yes. The 15.6-inch screen is touch-enabled and has a matte, anti-glare finish.

Is the screen good enough for photo or video editing?

Not really. The 1366 x 768 resolution is coarse for detailed editing, and the Core i3 is slow for rendering.

What ports does it have?

USB-A, HDMI, a 1/8-inch headphone jack and a memory card reader. There is no USB-C and no optical drive.

Only one store lists it new, at $349.99 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, so there is little price movement to wait for. Watch for holiday sales at that listing.

Our take on the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05 Laptop

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05 is a 15.6-inch budget laptop with an Intel Core i3, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Its touchscreen is matte and anti-glare, and the whole thing weighs 3.8 lb. The 1366 x 768 panel is the weak spot: low resolution for a screen this size. The best new price is $349.99 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no real price spread to compare against.
